Written by Lexine Cruz

Amidst the stillness of dawn, a melody plays,

A symphony of sorrow, singing her heavy heart’s wail.

In shadows deep, it echoes a tale,

Of her mourning soul through a haunting refrain.

The string of notes ebb and flow,

A tempo so slow, reverberating her desperate tone.

Her words hung heavy in the air, her lyrics of plea

Accompanying the acoustics of despair.

The harmony reaches a crescendo.

A melancholic chord, her harmony cut short.

At the beat of the song, a tragedy unfolds,

the sweet singing melody comes to a halt.

Silence filled the space, a rhythm no longer audible.

In a futile attempt to hear her sing again,

The record skids, not even a short chord played.

Her saccharine voice, her melodic cries,

too late it was heard, forever bygone.
