Escolarians gathered at this year’s campus organization membership campaign kick-off held at the Lower Student Activity Center on Wednesday, August 30, to promote various student-led organizations.
The said campaign is spearheaded by the Student Affairs Office (SAO), in partnership with the University Student Council (USC), which urges students to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
In his welcoming remarks, Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Carlito Olaer encouraged students to join organizations, noting that Escolarians were not just academics but also students who delight themselves in activities held outside classrooms.
Dr. Lani Sakay, Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs (International Students Services), also expressed her gratitude to organization advisers for their patience, support, and guidance to their students.
On its first day, the campaign was graced by home-grown talents from the CEU Singers, CEU Pep Squad, and CEU Street Squad who exhibited heartwarming and heart-stopping performances.
Members of the various organizations were also given the opportunity to promote their respective booths through their chants.
The membership campaign began August 30 and will run until further announcement is given, due to inclement weather, to give ample time to students to visit and explore various school-based and university-wide organizations.
