Blue Dreams Productions, consisting of CEU Communication and Media fresh graduates, won second place in the Short Feature category of the 35th Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video for their film “RRRWGHHRW (Carabao Noises).”
The said film festival is the longest-running independent film competition of its kind in Asia. It annually recognizes Filipino filmmakers and their works in four categories: animation, documentary, experimental, and short feature.
Last May, the team received two awards at Sinepiyu, a university-based and student-led film competition at Far Eastern University. Their film bagged the third Best Narrative Film award and the Best Male Performer title for Justin Jim Astrologo, who played the lead actor role.
RRRWGHHRW (Carabao Noises), directed by Kyla Dela Peña, tells the story of Eloy Macapagat, a grade school student who aspires to be an actor, and his experience of being a carabao in a school play.
Congratulations, Blue Dreams Production! The COMMunity is proud of your incredible achievements!
