The Centro Escolar University Scorpions secured their third win against Guang Ming College-Tagaytay Flying Dragons, 77-69, in the Universities and Colleges Athletic League (UCAL)-PG Flex Linoleum Season 6 on Monday, January 29, at the Paco Arena.

The Scorpions initiated the game with a strong start as they racked up a 13-point lead in the first quarter, 23-10, through effective steals and passes.

However, the pesky Flying Dragons staged a comeback in the second quarter, narrowing the gap to 38-33.

As the match continued, the Mendiola-based squad remained composed, successfully holding onto their lead and ultimately claiming the victory.

According to rookie Daniel Marcelo in his interview with UCAL, the team managed to pull off the victory with their trust in their coaches’ system and with each other.

With great performances in the last games, Marcelo has now been named as the player of the game with 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists.
