Through persistence and determination, the CEU Lady Scorpions Women’s Volleyball Team achieved victory in the second championship game against the PWU Lady Patriots in the Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) Season 54 on Sunday, December 3 at San Beda College Alabang, Muntinlupa.

Despite the unfortunate result of the first game, the Lady Scorpions perceived it as a motivation, proving themselves in this match with solid defense and striking offense, clinching three sets out of four, 32-30, 7-25, 25-17, and 26-24.

CEU-WVT Libero Danielle Fugen shared that they felt downcasted after the first game and explained the adjustments they made in preparing for their second game.

“Nag-training po talaga kami every day, ayun po talaga ‘yung solusyon na ginawa po namin, ‘di po kami nag[ing] complacent,” she stated.

The Lady Scorpions established dominance with their consequent gameplays of blocks and spikes in the first set, 32-30; however, the Lady Patriots quickly dismantled this by overshadowing the Lady Scorpions in the second set, 7-25.
