Feeling the warmth of the sun rays,

It’s the season I love to replay,

We may be separate from the surface,

But we’re never astray.

The sound of the ocean waves,

And the smell of summer rain,

It brings me back to the days,

Where my heart wonders at bay.

A whisper along the breeze,

We’re connected in the deep,

Somewhere I can run free,

Something that makes my heart glee.

It will soon be washed by the sea,

And someone would soon hold it captive;

Let me go back to where I rather be,

Even if these wings fail me.

Far away from the ocean floor,

I’ll watch you down below,

When your teardrops fall,

Feel my love through the wind that blows.

The summer I love to recall,

Grateful for you, my home,

I hope you’ll soon outgrow,

And find peace as I go.
