The School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music, Social Work Student (SELAMS) Volleyball Team has ended its campaign for this year’s CEU Sportsfest after losing in the third round.

The SELAMS’ Men’s Volleyball Team was defeated by the School of Pharmacy in two intense sets last Thursday, March 23.

Meanwhile, the SELAMS’ Women’s Volleyball Team also lost in two sets to the School of Nursing on Wednesday, March 29.

Undeterred by the turn out, Team Captains Ken Torres and Kim Arga remained resolute and in high spirits with the results of the games.

In an interview with Centro Dalumat, Arga pledged to improve her strength along with the team, as the wisdom and new found warmth within the group has solidified their camaraderie.

“Regardless of losing, we still had fun and continued to joy out all throughout the game, and it is a pleasure to represent SELAMS,” the Team Captain of the Women’s Volleyball Team added.

On the other hand, Torres announced that he might still remain with the Men’s Volleyball team for next year’s competition even after graduating this school year. Not as a player and the Team Captain, but as a guidance to the team members who wish to continue pursuing the same passion.
